About

Discover The Possibilities

While working with me, you will feel seen, heard, and listened to throughout our work together. Whether you choose to work with me once or twice a week, I will get to know you better as you learn more about your true self. We will explore what your childhood was like, your family/friends, and past and present experiences that have shaped you.

Exploring these issues can sometimes feel a bit unsettling, causing you to sit in silence as you reflect on your thoughts and feelings. Don’t worry; I will be there with you as we dig deeper into your inner world. What we find may surprise you! Think of our journey together as a fun excursion, almost like an archaeological dig!

In working with me, you will feel comforted and encouraged to take the next step. Through talk therapy, we will explore the fears and behaviors that are interrupting your life. If interested, dreamwork is another aspect of exploring your inner thoughts related to your current situation.

As we continue our work together, you will leave our session feeling better with more clarity and focus. You will reflect on what we talked about with a renewed sense of excitement and purpose on your new path forward.

It Works Both Ways

My role is to help support and guide you as we discover together the possibilities while you begin to step into your new life. I won’t tell you what to do. My role is to listen, help make connections, and ask questions.

I am insightful, bringing meaningful connections about your past, present, and future to light. I ask you thought-provoking questions to tell me more about something or how you feel when you think you have said everything there is to say!

In today’s world, finding someone who listens to you one-on-one is refreshing!

Personal and Professional Experiences Guide My Approach

My certifications and degrees qualify me to help others with their mental health and well-being – but my share of challenging life experiences have greatly informed my therapy approach.

I started my journey to become a therapist in college and fell into an entirely different career. Wanting to chase my dream, I went back to graduate school and eventually left my former career and enrolled in psychoanalytic training for four years.

I worked with patients while in training and still work with some of the patients at the institute where I trained.

I’ve Been There

I have walked the walk and talked the talk as the saying goes! Losing yourself for the sake of someone is not fun!

Believing in the power of reinventing yourself while still focusing on you in our sessions is the goal.

I have found that listening to other people’s struggles and triumphs is exceptionally humbling and can significantly help us move forward in the journey of life.

In my free time…

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, boating, beach towns, island resorts, playing pool, and tending to my garden and home.
